PKU - Belt & Road Initiative and the International Practice from the Perspective of New Structural Economics
18 July – 29 July 2022
Hosted by Peking University
The aim of this course is to enable students to analyse the opportunities brought by belt and road initiatives (BRI) for developing countries from the perspective of new structural economics, and to evaluate the performance of industrial transfer in Asia and Africa through case studies. In the context of COVID-19 and Sino-US trade frictions, the regionalisation and diversification of the global industrial chain is accelerating. The BRI needs to promote the new mode of ‘infrastructure + manufacturing + service industry’, cooperate with the third parties (including cooperating with international organisations such as the United Nations), eliminate poverty through coordinated action, and promote sustainable economic growth.
