Information for Applicants

Who is eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for the IARU Global Summer Program, you must:

  • be a current enrolled degree seeking student at one of the IARU universities: Australian National University; ETH Zurich; National University of Singapore; Peking University; University of California, Berkeley; University of Cambridge; University of Copenhagen; University of Oxford; The University of Tokyo; or Yale University;
  • have completed at least one full year of university study; and
  • be fluent in English. Please contact the GSP Coordinator at your home university for criteria used to determine fluency.

Your home university may have additional eligibility criteria for applicants. If you are not sure, please contact the IARU GSP Coordinator at your home university.

How does the GSP Application process work?

There are two phases to the IARU GSP application process. You must first be nominated by your university to participate. To apply for nomination, you must submit a GSP Application Form to the IARU GSP Coordinator at your home university. If you are nominated, your application will be forwarded to the host University of your selected course. The host university will make the final decision regarding your admission into the GSP.

How do I apply?

Complete a GSP Application Form and forward it electronically to the IARU Global Summer Program Coordinator at your home university (not to the host university directly). A list of GSP Coordinators for each IARU university is located in section 10 of the application form.

Completed application forms must be received by your home institution by Monday 8 March, 2010.

Nominated applicants may need to provide additional information to the relevant host university in order to complete the application process (see below). Please do not forward this information until it is requested by the host university.
